As one of the leading orthopaedists specializing in foot and ankle surgery in the Midwest, Dr. Tuvi Mendel heads the Foot and Ankle Center for the practice. Because of his focus in foot and ankle injuries, he is able to offer procedures to the area that give patients an alternative to fusions (such as ankle replacements) as well as many minimally-invasive techniques.
Dr. Mendel has also attained his additional certification in Sports Medicine and is able to offer athletes of all ages arthoscopic management of sports-related foot, ankle and lower leg injuries.
Dr. Mendel earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. After graduation, Dr. Mendel completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and then completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery (including adult reconstruction and sports injuries) with Roger Mann, MD in San Francisco, CA.
