Dr. Craig Moe & Dr. Brian McGowan Joining Orthopaedic Specialists

Fellowship-trained joint replacement specialists Dr. Craig Moe and Dr. Brian McGowan are joining the region’s first and most experienced robotic joint replacement team at Orthopaedic Specialists. Dr. Moe is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in high-quality patient care, and he will join the practice Aug. 1. Dr. McGowan is focused on minimally invasive hip and knee joint replacement and will begin at Orthopaedic Specialists on Sept. 3. Both doctors will be available to see patients at 3385 Dexter Court, Suite 300, and in Clinton at 2635 Lincoln Way, #D. With advanced, specialized training in hip and knee replacement, Dr. Moe and Dr. McGowan offer guidance and personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing hip and knee pain. Dr. Moe graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and continued on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Moe then went through a hip and knee reconstructive surgery fellowship at OrthoCarolina Hip & Knee Center.

Dr. McGowan attended Indiana University School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. McGowan completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Wisconsin, where he was recognized by his peers with the Golden Mallet award for embodying the ideals of an educator, leader and team member. Building on this foundation, Dr. McGowan pursued advanced training through a fellowship at West Virginia University, specializing in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery. During this fellowship, he acquired specialized training in robotically assisted direct anterior total hip replacement.
